Regional Safety Supervisor

McCook, IL
Position Details

  • Support Operations teams in all areas deemed necessary to improve the overall quality and safety results of the company
  • Perform audits and observations relating to DOT, FMCSA, customer, and company specific guidelines
  • Complete site inspections and employee & contractor observations at customer facilities and provide appropriate corrective measures
  • Train and/re-train employees and contractors in all areas of quality and safety
  • Conduct and document injury & accident investigations, including coordination of reporting, investigation, documentation, and management of incidents and ensure preventive actions are taken and retraining is completed and documented
  • Assist Corporate Safety to educate and train employees on various health and safety matters
  • Conduct audits and inspections of fleet to monitor compliance
  • Coordinate with Operations to develop Terminal specific safety plan to ensure compliance with Company safety metrics
  • Identify occupational risks and create countermeasures
  • Monitor employees' and contractor’s compliance with corporate safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
TOP SKILLS TO HAVE:

  • Prior Safety Supervisor experience.
  • Ability to perform safety audits, inspections, observations, and to coach.
  • Ability to investigate accidents, incidents, and injuries.
